Wow, this is something very important. VERY. What we need to do is make ONE universal sign language. Then ALL people of ALL nations could talk. This animated little animal is fantastic. Just wonderful, I wish it was around when I was a kid. We should have thought of this so much sooner!! It should be available in ALL schools.

I'm hard of hearing and know conversational ASL - I love this page because they are informative of Deaf culture and educate so many people, while also including signing videos. Very impressed with their captioning and employment of d/Deaf people in their videos. Funny, too!

When I found this page I thought it would be a way for me, a hearing person, to brush up on my signing that I haven't used in years. Turns out it's about 75% videos griping about hearing people in some way.

So i really enjoy the tips on this page, it is super helpful to hear how i can improve my interactions. However, my only complaint is that it tends to be really negative, like, what really annoys deaf people, or what deaf people hate that hearing people do. I know what hearing people do gets repetitive, but I know I am trying. It is just lack of education and knowing how much is annoying may scare some people in their interactions with deaf people more.

First off I love seeing the different deaf cultures! I also love that many deaf/hard of hearing/ hearing people can come together as a support group for each other and also learn about each other and other things we might not know.

Amazing organization, People with Disabilities are Superheroes. I am a believer that We are the most caring, talented individuals on Earth, and if enough were invested in by society to make our existence more than barely surviving - our world would be a much more advanced civilization.

As a hearing/speaking person i love this site, but my only complaint is that only deaf people are advocated for yet what about mutes? I am learning ASL for my daughter who is nonverbal. She hears maybe not completely perfect but is mute so needs ASl to communicate with the world. Why are nonverbals never mentioned?
